About
I am a coastal scientist interested in assessing coastal hazards in a changing
climate. My background is in Oceanography and Coastal Morphodynamics, and
I have used geospatial analysis and statistical modeling to answer questions on
coastal change and sea level variability. Currently, I am a Ph.D. Candidate in
Geography (Area of Concentration: Earth System Sciences) at the University of
Florida (UF) Department of Geography. My research explores the linkages between
oceanographic processes and coastal change through extreme total water levels.
In my current work, I integrate observational datasets and extreme value analysis
to assess the drivers and impacts of flooding and erosion events. Besides research,
I am currently a teaching assistant, the UF Water Institute Ambassador, and the
Graduate Representative of the UF Department of Geography.
