About
I study a variety nearshore hydrodynamics topics including ship wake, green coastal infrastructure, and swash zone dynamics using field observations, remote sensing, and numerical modeling. My science is driven by an overarching goal to advance knowledge of the coastal environment in a way that provides actionable information to benefit coastal communities and ecosystems. I believe interdisciplinary approaches are critical for guiding successful adaptation to our changing coasts, so I am eager to bring my hydrodynamics work into collaborations with diverse professionals including marine biologists, climatologists, and coastal engineers.
