About

My masters project was on the study of energy dissipation of deep-water waves breaking in the presence of strong winds. We focused on two real-life storm events that had been observed by drifter buoys at an earlier stage of the project and I ran numerical hindcast simulations using WAVEWATCH III. Comparisons between the measurements and modeled estimates helped asses the effect of different energy dissipation mechanisms on model performance.
I am currently in search of an entry level maritime position in the industry or at a private research organization. I would also love to get involved with volunteering opportunities related to the ocean and coastal environment. My interests include marine renewable energy, nearshore process, protection and restoration of coastlines, and coastal infrastructure.
