Valeria Fanti is PhD Candidate at the Marine and Environmental Research Center (CIMA) of the University of Algarve (Portugal), where she investigating global model’s applicability for storm impact assessments on coastal barriers. She is a Civil and Environmental Engineer specialised in Physical Oceanography. She previously worked on wave modelling, wave energy converters and wave power assessment at the National Laboratory of Civil Engineering in Lisbon and at the Polytechnic University of Turin in Italy.
