About

I am currently working in a hydrodynamics lab as an undergraduate research assistant for my last credit in order to officially have my bachelor’s degree. In this lab I carry out beach surveys using GNSS to create both bathymetry profiles and a volume model to help with residence time calculations.

This is my last quarter as an undergraduate student before I will begin applying for graduate school to pursue a master’s degree, or more hopefully, a PhD in coastal engineering – specifically focusing on nature-based solutions to climate change. In this next year I will be applying for grad school and traveling but want to find ways to stay connected to the academic world so I don’t have as much to catch up on when I return from being away from the academic scene!
