About

I am a marine geologist with experience on evaluating sedimentary processes and hydrodynamics controlling the changes on seabed morphology. My current research focus on:
– evaluating sediment distribution and exchange from the coast and inner-shelf to the slope and deep water regions;
– understanding the formation of depositional and erosive bedforms and determine their evolution in geological time through the sediment record;
– assessing the impact of anthropogenic activities over the seabed, changing the seafloor geomorphology and affecting the benthic communities;
