Job Summary/Responsibilities
As part of a continuing initiative under the Taylor Engineering Research Institute, the School of Engineering at the University of North Florida (UNF) invites applications for a tenure-track position in Coastal/Estuarine engineering, as an Assistant Professor. Collegiality, active service, and participation in governance in accordance with the vision and mission of the school, college and university are also expected. Required Qualifications
An earned doctorate in a field of engineering with a coastal focus is required. Teaching experience and a commitment to excellence in teaching will be expected of the successful candidate, along with a demonstrated ability to establish/ conduct a productive research program.

A pre-employment background check is performed on candidates selected for employment.  
 
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with research interests in the areas of 1) numerical modeling of waves and circulation, 2) estimation of coastal hazards and risk, 3) coastal and estuarine field measurements and/or 4) innovative multidisciplinary engineering solutions to complex problems in coastal areas will be preferred.

A Professional Engineer license and industrial experience are desired but not necessary.
