This article was passed on to me today and I thought it worthwhile to pass on to the group. Trailing spouses exist on both sides of the gender fence, and as a young mom, I can definitely attest that my career has more sacrifices in it than my partner’s it seems so my career track will inevitably be a bit slower than it was pre-kids. We do our best to support each other and I’m fortunate that he is not in academia, which gives us potentially more freedom in terms of future jobs. Can anyone else relate to this article?
