About
I am broadly interested in sediment dynamics at the fluvial-ocean interface. I am currently a graduate student in the Sediment Dynamics Group a the University of Washington.
My Master’s thesis focused on the impact of the 2011-2014 Elwha River dam removals on sediment transport and kelp mortality around the mouth of the river (Glover et al., 2019).
My Ph.D. work is focused on sediment transport in the Ayeyarwady River Delta, Myanmar, and in Tauranga Harbor, New Zealand. I am investigating the processes which keep low-lying, coastal areas above sea level over large (200 kilometers) to small (centimeters) spatial scales. And, I am investigating the impact of mangrove removal (deforestation) in these regions.
