About
I did my Bachelors of the Science of Engineering in University of Moratuwa (Sri Lanka), and the Master of Sustainability Science in the University of Tokyo (Japan). My undergraduate research was on “Hydraulic performance of rubble mound concrete armoured breakwaters”, and my master research was on “Resilience of fishery ports to Climate change: Impacts of sea level rise and storm surges on rubble mound breakwaters”.
I am currently working as a PhD student in the University of Warwick (United Kingdom) and the topic of my PhD is “Coastal flood risks under extreme waves: Creating resilience through green infrastructure”. Here I am doing physical modelling experiments to evaluate the role of coastal vegetation in wave attenuation, flow velocities and mixing processes.
